CrowdStrike adds an "AI Kill Switch" to Falcon for stopping misbehaving AI agents
Announced · Published · By Contractor AI Shop
CrowdStrike launched an AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian. It says an authorized admin can stop a misbehaving agent, block it from relaunching on targeted hosts and cut its network access, with actions audit-logged. It works at the AI gateway today; CrowdStrike says endpoint termination is coming "soon."

Our take: what it means for contractors
Agent "off switches" are becoming a product category. Most contractors won't buy Falcon, but the lesson holds at any size: if you're piloting an agent with access to email, files or payments, know how you'd stop it, and who gets to decide.
What we don't know yet
- Pricing, and which Falcon tiers include it
- When endpoint termination ships
- Real-world results; the capability claims are CrowdStrike's own
