Our take: what it means for contractors
The project is aimed at autonomous earthmoving. Big OEMs are moving AI autonomy testing into simulation first, and that's how autonomy will eventually reach rental and owner fleets. It won't change anything for a GC this year, but it's a signal for anyone who buys or rents yellow iron.
What we don't know yet
- Whether the platform will be shared with smaller makers or kept in-house
- Any product timeline
- The ministry's official English name (English outlets disagree)
