NVIDIA DGX Spark 64GB goes on sale Oct. 23 from $4,999 through six PC makers

NVIDIA announced a 64GB version of its DGX Spark desktop AI computer, sold only through Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI starting Friday, Oct. 23, from $4,999. It keeps the GB10 Grace Blackwell chip and runs models up to 100 billion parameters, NVIDIA says.
Key facts
- The 64GB configuration keeps the same GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, DGX OS and NVIDIA AI software stack as the 128GB model. NVIDIA
- Two 64GB units can be linked with a QSFP cable to pool 128GB of memory, which NVIDIA says supports models up to 200 billion parameters. NVIDIA
- Tom's Hardware says 128GB GB10 systems currently sell for roughly $7,000 to $9,000 when in stock, and partner prices may not stay at $4,999. Tom's Hardware

Our take: what it means for contractors
A lower entry price for a private AI box in the office, but $4,999 is still real money. For most contractors, a smaller local model on an existing PC or Mac covers document Q&A. Buy this only if you've already proven a local workflow and hit memory limits.
What we don't know yet
- Actual street prices once partner systems ship
- How 64GB performs on the models contractors would actually run
- Stock availability given memory shortages
